History: In 2016 Gilbert Ramy Carrey and his mother, Shirley Acquaah-Harrison set up a media production business, GRC Concepts, to produce and promote his works. His mother would serve as the first Managing Director with Gilbert as Assistant Managing Director. In that same year, they would release their first project, Adventures in Pencilvania to moderate fanfare.
At the same time, GRC Concepts’ first feature film, The Slave King, would go into production and then begin postproduction. In 2017, The Slave King premiered at the Silverbird Cinemas in Ghana, receiving a lot of buzz and praise. In the 4 years that followed, GRC went quiet as Gilbert completed his International Baccalaureate Diploma program and began his Bachelor degree in Film Directing.
